90-years strong and still going, Industries of the Blind provides employment and personal development opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired to achieve greater independence. 

Since 1933, Industries of the Blind in Greensboro, North Carolina, has   empowered the blind and visually  impaired community to succeed and achieve their individual goals.

All of us appreciate the opportunity to achieve independence and success.  IOB provides this and so much more.

IOB, associates have dedicated Orientation and Mobility (O&M) training, opportunities to learn and use up-to-date Assistive Technology, and Adaptive Aids. This training and technology enables people who are blind or visually impaired to not just be successful at their job but also provides the autonomy to live their fullest lives.

IOB’s Computer Training and Technology Center offers associates basic computer classes, software program knowledge, and some of the latest computer technology for the blind or visually impaired, including JAWS (a screen reader that converts text to speech), IOS and Android software applications, Zoom text and others.

Ensuring all associates have engaging opportunities, proper skills and high-level training is critical to their success and our mission.  Your partnership supports our blind and visually impaired associates.
